Legal Assistant - Job Description
Job Information:
We are seeking an experienced legal assistant to provide legal and administrative support to attorneys in our areas of business and real estate transactions, construction law, municipal law, employment law, and real property taxation. Our legal assistants are expected to maintain the highest level of professional conduct and confidentiality. In this position, you will use your versatile skills and experience to handle a wide variety of assignments in a professional, team-oriented work environment.
Requirements:
A successful candidate will be well-organized with the ability to utilize good judgment and have strong attention to detail. The candidate will also possess excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading abilities, and written and oral communication skills. Experience with electronic document storage/filing and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook is preferred. While previous legal assistant experience is preferred, we will also consider applicants with a four-year college degree.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer competitive compensation based on experience and skills, and a generous benefits package including medical, disability and life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, and retirement benefits. Our office is open Monday-Friday between 8:30am-5:00pm and closed on every other Friday.
